Fishing on Nehalem bay has been slow. There should still be a few Chinook entering the system. The North Fork Nehalem has been slow recently for hatchery coho as the run winds down. A few fall Chinook are available also. Bobber fishing or drift fishing bait, throwing spinners, twitching jigs are all good techniques. The first winter steelhead should be arriving soon.
Anglers are reminded that there is NO wild coho retention in the rivers and bays this year, and that two rods are prohibited on all coastal rivers, tidewater, estuaries and bays.
