OLYMPIA – Members of the Washington and Oregon Fish and Wildlife commissions will meet this week to receive updates on this year’s Columbia River steelhead run and actions taken to protect the run so far.
Four members of the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission and three members of the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission will host an online meeting from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16.
Commissioners are expected to further discuss the status of Columbia River steelhead, as well as actions taken to conserve steelhead in the river. This follows a meeting held in late August that also addressed steelhead status and conservation; a recording of that meeting can be viewed at https://www.tvw.org/watch/?eventID=2021081086.
The meeting will be held via Zoom webinar; the public can tune in to the meeting at https://us06web.zoom.us/j/83566148419. Participants can also call in to the meeting at 253-215-8782 or 888-475-4499, then enter the webinar ID: 835-6614-8419.
No decisions are expected at this meeting, and no public comment will be taken.
