Winter steelhead fishing is expected to pick up this week after some much needed rain. The river will be high and off-color mid-week but will be dropping into shape for the weekend. The popular NF Alsea section will be in good shape by the end of the week and there should be plenty of fish around to be caught.
Trout fishing in streams will reopen May 22, 2022.
