The Nehalem mainstem is on the rise and may color up again by mid-week, but will hopefully be in shape by the weekend. The Nehalem mainstem is a mostly wild steelhead river without any hatchery releases, but there is still catch-and-release opportunity for wild steelhead. Wild steelhead will are hitting peak spawning so be cautious of disturbing redds (spawning nest) or spawning fish.
