Fishing effort is ticking up and there are a couple early reports of winter steelhead. Rain this week will improve fishing conditions for anglers targeting winter steelhead. Reminder: Anglers regardless of age need a valid Combined Angling Tag in possession to fish for salmon and steelhead (even catch-and-release).
The new winter steelhead authorization and wild steelhead tag requirements do not start until Jan. 1, 2023.
