The Wilson crested in moderate flood stage yesterday. It's dropping fast and may be fishable Friday before going back up with Saturday's rain. If predictions are correct, it should be in prime fishing condition early next week.
The Wison gets the North Coast's largest release of hatchery winter steelhead and once the water goes down there should be a few of those fish showing up. Hatchery winter steelhead on the Wilson are from wild broodstock and as such the run peaks January through March, but there are always some fish caught in December.
