The release from the dam is 1,500 cfs, and the temperature at release is 43F. Reservoir outflow will continue to release this much water for at least the next week and releases could increase depending on rain. The Applegate is currently open for trout and winter steelhead fishing. Only hatchery winter steelhead can be retained. Winter steelhead fishing will take a little while to pick up on this river but with all the water fish may show up soon.
