The Kilchis is a little on the low side right now, but that won't last long. Keep an eye on conditions over the weekend as this will be one of the first basins to get back in shape once the rains stop. When it does come back in shape expect fair to good opportunity with the catch mostly consisting of wild steelhead (catch-and-release only).
The Mapes Creek (logging bridge) boat ramp was damaged in the December storm and is still closed. Boaters should use extreme caution and check the ramp before launching there.
